Toronto – January 1st, 2019 – Toronto-based rock band Madame Psychosis kicks off 2019 with the release of “Just Wanna Be Myself”, the lead single off their upcoming album. With sing-along lyrics and a catchy hook, this radio-friendly single highlights the fight for individuality in a world full of predetermined expectations. The song was recorded by Alex Gamble at Union Sound Company, which was ranked by blogTO as the top recording studio in Toronto.
The five-piece band first made waves with their debut album “Madame Psychosis”, released in June of 2017. Alan Cross, the internationally syndicated host of The Ongoing History of New Music, selected the single “Space Motorcycle” for his weekly Top 11 Playlist in August of 2017. The band was also featured on 94.9 The Rock’s emerging artist spotlight Generation Next. Four songs from the debut album were showcased, including “Space Motorcycle”, “Run”, “On Top of The Game”, and “Mellow”.
Coming off the heels of this warm reception, Madame Psychosis is now turning their attention towards their sophomore effort. They will be performing “Just Wanna Be Myself” on Global’s nationally televised The Morning Show on January 3rd, 2019, and showcasing songs off their upcoming album at The Bout Music Festival & Competition at The Hideout in Toronto on March 22nd, 2019.
