After endless waiting and high anticipation, we’re happy to announce that Madame Psychosis will be performing at Canadian Music Week, which runs from May 6th to 12th at more than 40 venues across Toronto.
For those who don’t know, CMW is Canada’s largest new music festival – it’s now in its 37th year and spans six nights. Headliners at this year’s festival include Tokyo Police Club, Dirty Nil, Dandy Warhols, Azealia Banks, and so many others. It goes without saying that this is a big milestone for the band. Before we spill the beans on our performance, here’s a preview of what to expect at this year’s festival:
We will also be debuting a new single at the festival as a followup to “Just Wanna Be Myself”…but we can’t tell you what it is. You’ll just have to come 😉
So, when does Madame Psychosis hit the stage?
Wednesday, May 8th at 7pm at Stackt Studios
We’re super excited to play this venue! Stackt is a temporary market on unused land near Front Street West and Bathurst that is completely made up of shipping containers. Yes, you read that correctly. The market will become the home to hundreds of pop-up shops, restaurants, bars and artist studios. It will also be used for shows and events, like CMW. It’s going to be a very cool experience so come out to the market, grab some grub and let us serenade you.
Here’s an artist’s rendition of the market:
Big thanks to all of the CMW sponsors that continue to support local music and homegrown talent, and special shout out to the CMW Festival Team for selecting us to be a part of the adventure! We can’t thank them enough.
Advance tickets are available for purchase through our Eventbrite event page. Otherwise, you can purchase tickets at the door for $8.
Stay tuned for more info about the festival. Until then, check out our upcoming shows.
We can’t wait to see your faces at CMW!
