About “Foxtail”
“Foxtail,” a short and sweet, no-nonsense pop rock number that delivers a compelling message about the daily grind. The track resonates with anyone who has questioned the balance between work and personal fulfillment. Through spirited guitar riffs and dynamic instrumentation, the upbeat and catchy song encourages listeners to consider what truly matters in life – the pursuit of happiness and spending precious moments with loved ones.
“I started really thinking about how much of our lives we spend having to work at a job that for many of us is not fulfilling but ‘pays the bills,’ and how much we’d prefer following our passions or being with loved ones,” says Michelle Mondesir, the band’s lyricist and lead singer. “That got me thinking about how capitalism works, forcing us into these workplaces, taking up our time, putting us in environments surrounded by people with whom we often have nothing in common, and forging social ties that can be emotionally, spiritually, and sometimes physically unhealthy.”
Madame Psychosis’ distinctive sound, influenced by a mix of pop sensibility and gritty rock edge, is on full display on “Foxtail”. The band invites fans old and new this summer to roll down the windows, turn up the volume, sing along, and contemplate life’s most meaningful moments.
